The
natural ingredients of Antioxidin renew your health
and strength
Antioxidin is made up of five primary herbal compounds:
LYCOPENE, ALPHA LIPOIC
ACID, GREEN TEA, LUTEIN, and POMEGRANITE
EXTRACT. They're all natural substances.
Why
did we choose these five herbal compounds? Essentially,
because all are powerful, and yet they're more powerful
when they’re combined.
Let's
look at them:

LYCOPENE:
protective against cancer and heart disease
The antioxidant lycopene has come to prominence
because of the investigations which went into
the "Mediterranean diet". It was discovered
that people who eat lots of tomatoes in their
diet had fewer instances of heart disease and
certain kinds of cancer: cancers of the lung,
stomach and prostate. In tomatoes, lycopene is
the carotenoid which gives them their color. |
Research
into the marvels of LYCOPENE
continue, especially into its effects in the treatment
of heart disease, as well as heart-disease prevention.
It has been established that in its antioxidant usefulness
lycopene has more than double the effectiveness of beta
carotene, another carotenoid which has had extensive
study as a cancer-preventing nutrient.
In
its natural form, LYCOPENE
is contained in tomatoes, apricots, watermelon, and
papaya (paw paw). Apparently cooked tomatoes are a better
source of lycopene than fresh.
LYCOPENE
counters diabetes: a new study
Several recent studies have shown that free radicals
disturb the function of insulin in the body, and it's
hoped that LYCOPENE
may prove to be a help both in preventing diabetes,
and in treating it. Diabetes is a menace, leading to
further illnesses which can include retinopathy with
its loss of vision, nephropathy which can create kidney
failure, and many other health problems including heart
disease.
LYCOPENE
in summary: major benefits
Currently LYCOPENE
is being used in the treatment of AIDs, osteoporosis,
heart disease, and various cancers.
However,
the major benefit of LYCOPENE
is its help in the destruction of free radicals. This
protective action, which frees the body from the strain
of constant repair, makes lycopene a substance that
everyone should include in their diet, both in food,
and by taking Antioxidin.

ALPHA
LIPOIC ACID helps achieve
a healthy vascular system
ALPHA LIPOIC ACID
(ALA) is an antioxidant helps the liver in its
work of removing toxic substances from the body.
ALA occurs naturally in food, including meat and
green vegetables like spinach. Because ALA is
easily absorbed by the body, it is especially
useful for people with diseases like diabetes
and those who have vascular problems like hardening
of the arteries. |
One
of the major efficiencies of ALA is that it helps vitamins
C and E to work more efficiently – it's a "helper"
substance, a wonderful destroyer of free radicals. Recent
studies have shown that ALA is particularly helpful
in repairing nerve damage in people who have diabetes,
a syndrome called diabetic polyneuropathy, which causes
pain and numbness in the hands and feet. ALA also seems
to lower blood sugar levels.
Research
which is currently under way suggests that ALA may even
help to treat stroke, cataract formation in the eyes,
as well as nerve damage from HIV infection. ALA is also
being studied to see whether it's useful in the treatment
of dementia and Alzheimers.

GREEN
TEA– a rediscovered
wonder keeping you young
GREEN TEA
has been called the "antioxidant in a cup."
In China it has been used as a health-drink for
thousands of years, used to treat everything from
headache and toothache to greying hair. Western
scientists became interested in green tea in 1970,
when population studies in Asia associated tea
drinking with many health benefits. Scientist
agree that both green and black tea provide benefits,
but GREEN TEA
contains more antioxidants. This is because while
both green and black tea leaves are from the same
plant, GREEN TEA
leaves are fermented before drying to produce
black tea, and this fermentation process may destroy
some of the health-giving properties of tea. |
GREEN
TEA leaves are rich in antioxidants
called catechin polyphenols, especially in the form
of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). It's been established
that EGCG inhibits the growth of cancer cells, and it
kills any cancer cells which are spreading without destroying
healthy tissue. In many hospitals, GREEN
TEA is now given to patients after surgery,
because it inhibits thrombosis: the formation of abnormal
blood clots. Thrombosis is the leading cause of heart
attacks and strokes.
Studies
suggest that GREEN TEA
is also useful in rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol
levels, cardiovascular disease, and infections, as well
as impaired immune system functions. How can so many
claims be made for one natural plant? When that plant
is packed with antioxidants, the claims can certainly
be made, and GREEN TEA
should be part of the diet of any person who wants to
be healthy.
LUTEIN
for healthy eyes and a healthy brain
If you're over 40, you should be ensuring that LUTEIN
forms part of your diet to ensure the health of your
eyes. Although there are no definitive studies, early
research on the antioxidant LUTEIN
suggests that it may decrease the risk of developing
age-related eye diseases, such as age-related macular
degeneration (AMD) and cataract.
LUTEIN
is found in the macula of the human retina -- part of
the eye. It's a fat-soluble yellowish pigment derived
from plants, and seems to protect the plants from the
toxic effects of ultra-violet radiation and oxygen.
In the human eye, LUTEIN
seems to do the same thing. Although it's too early
to predict its effectiveness, LUTEIN
is also being studied to assess whether it can provide
protection against some cancers as well as old-age dementia.

POMEGRANITE
EXTRACT, the cancer-fighter
POMEGRANITES
are wonderfully healthy fruits. They're extremely
rich in polyphenolic compounds, which are potent
antioxidants. In the past few years, the Middle
Eastern fruit has being studied not only for its
health benefits in preventing heart disease, but
also for its cancer-fighting benefits. Trials
have shown that extract of POMEGRANITE
is effective in fighting tumors in animals, and
also in human prostate cells in the laboratory.
|
POMEGRANITE
juice is even higher in antioxidants than GREEN
TEA. It's hoped that in human trials,
POMEGRANITE EXTRACT
will be shown to be effective not only in preventing
prostate cancer, but also in fighting the disease.
